Lafayette Alumni Association, Inc.
The purpose of this organization is to further the fellowship of all graduates and friends of Lafayette High School and to aid deserving students by the awarding of scholarships.
The association sponsors student scholarships, and at this time we are sponsoring seven students. We have several annual events such as the Holiday Dinner, a Chili Supper in March, and the Alumni Dinner, the third Friday in July, and a picnic in the fall. We also go, as a group to a local away football game and to one of the basketball games. Our meetings are open to all LHS alumni, and are held on the first Monday of each month (except summer months) at the school.
We also have a “HALL OF FAME”, which was started at the 50th Anniversary Celebration of Lafayette. If you would like to nominate a graduate, please request a nomination form. (Nominee must have been graduated for at least 15 years.)
The annual dues are $10.00 and are tax deductible. Half of the amount goes to the Scholarship Fund and the other half goes to General Fund of the Association. The dues are for the term July 1 through June 30. There is also a newsletter that goes out in late spring with a reminder of upcoming dates, events, and tidbits about alumni.
